Major development schemes implemented in Patharkhmah Civil Sub-Division
1. Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM)
- Objective: Provide 55 litres of potable water per person per day to rural households.
- Status: Active / completed in many clusters.
- The Sub-Divisional PHE laboratory at Patharkhmah monitors water quality for FHTCs.
2. Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G)
- Financial assistance of ₹1.30 lakh per house to eligible rural households.
- Jirang Block prioritized for replacement of kutcha houses with pucca houses.
3. Community-Led Landscape Management Project (CLLMP)
- Focus on conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.
- Formation of Village Natural Resource Management Committees (VNRMCs).
- Restoration of degraded land and improvement of irrigation facilities.
4. FOCUS / FOCUS+
- Support to Farmer Producer Groups and Self-Help Groups.
- 149 FPGs received FOCUS+ funds worth ₹1.48 lakh.
- 12 SHGs received bank loans totaling ₹14 lakh.
5. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS)
- Ensures 100 days of wage employment to rural households.
- Projects include construction of check dams, footpaths, and rural roads.
6. Health & Wellness Schemes
- Megha Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS).
- Ayushman Bharat – PM-JAY providing coverage up to ₹5 lakh.
- Strengthening of Patharkhmah Community Health Centre.
7. Connectivity & Roads
- Rehabilitation and improvement of the Umling–Patharkhmah Road.
- Improved market access and connectivity for farmers and traders.
