About Patharkhmah

Patharkhmah is a prominent and developing village as well as an administrative hub located in the western part of the Ri-Bhoi District of Meghalaya. It lies within the Jirang C&RD Block and serves as a central point for surrounding villages.

The Civil Sub-Division with headquarters at Patharkhmah was officially established on 24th November 2022 and inaugurated on 2nd December 2022 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Conrad K. Sangma.

The area is approximately 67 km from Nongpoh, the district headquarters, and about 119 km from Shillong, the state capital. The local economy primarily depends on agriculture, forestry, and small businesses. Patharkhmah also hosts a Community Health Centre (CHC) serving more than 35 villages.
